Symptoms:

Causes:

The cause of uveitis is unknown. Some systemic diseases can be causative and for this reason, chest X-rays, blood tests, and some other tests may be ordered   Medications that may be causative of Uveitis can include  oral antibiotics as well as the overuse of  over the counter eye drops for "red eyes."

Allopathic Treatment (traditional medicine)

Treatment is usually steroid  anti-inflammatory eye drops and drops to keep the pupils dilated.

A case of Uveitis often lasts six to eight weeks. Make sure your eye doctor monitors your progress carefully. The effects of the medication can be cataracts, glaucoma, corneal changes and possibly more inflammation.   Treatment is Critical to prevent damage to the eye caused by leaky fluids and protein in the eye.
